Description:
OLV 8800 Structural Silicone Sealant is a one part, neutral cure, versatile, high modulus architectural grade silicone sealant that exhibits outstanding physical properties projects, general building constructions as well as Structural Glazing Adhesives uses. It has excellent weathering resistance, durability, compatibility, tensile strength; physical, mechanical and adhesive properties. Cured sealant forms tenacious bonds to substrates, typically structural glazing elements: glasses and metals members; and gives high performances silicone rubber sealant for curtain walls, for both weatherproofing and structural applications.
Main purposes:
1. Structural glazing in high risk glass curtain wall;
2. Can joint the surface of glass and metal to form a single assembly, suitable for curtain wall of SSG system design;
3. For the situation of high requirement to adhesive safety and other purpose;
4. Many other purposes.
Characteristics:
1. OLV8800 is RTV-1,neutral curing at room temperature, high modulus and high intensity silicone structural sealant;
2. Excellent resistance to weather, and the service life is over 20 years in the condition of general weather;
3. Excellent adhesion to most common building material (not including copper) without priming in general condition;
4. Good compatibility with other neutral silicone sealants.
Application:
1. Please follow JGJ102-2003 Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering in strict;
2. The silicone sealant will release volatile compound during curing, it may be bad to heath if you in breathe the volatile compound for a long time .So please ensure adequate ventilation at workplace or curing area;
3. The silicone sealant will not release any harmful substance and cause any damage to human body after cured;
4. Keep uncured silicone sealant beyond childrens reach. If getting into eyes, wash with running water for several minutes, and then consult a doctor.
Limitations:
1. Unsuitable for all kinds of material that can effuse grease, plasticizer or solvent;
2. Unsuitable for the airproof location, because it is required to absorb moisture in air to cure for the silicone sealant;
3. Unsuitable for the frosty or moist surface;
4. Can not be used if the temperature is below 4

C or above 40

C on the surface of the materials;
5. Can not be used if the surface is unclean or unfirm.
Shelf life: 12 months if keep sealing, and stored below 27

C in cool, dry place after the date of production.
