High quality siliconized acrylic caulk is a good choice for many interior or exterior painting projects. This caulking remains flexible over a wide range of temperatures. Making it suitable for
exterior caulking
applications, such as sealing around windows or doors and gaps between fascia boards or siding.
Generally interior surfaces remain stable, producing less movement, but
interior caulking
still requires a good sealant. YA4000 Siliconized acrylic sealants have become the standard painters caulk, able to adhere to a wide range of materials. Plus is fully paintable with acrylic or alkyd paints when fully cured.

Features and Benefits
YA4000is an easy gunning, non-staining, general purpose sealant formulated from the highest quality acrylic polymer to offer exceptional flexibility and workability for any commercial construction acrylic sealant application. It can be used indoors or outside, and is tack-free in 15 minutes and ready to paint in 30-45 minutes with latexes or oil-based paint. It also has been tested for acoustical properties to reduce sound transmissions when constructing partition partition walls.

Basic Uses
YA4000 can be used for general purpose interior and exterior caulking and as a back bedding glazing compound. It is also highly recommended as an acoustical seal in the construction of interior walls, ceiling and floors. It is also suitable for use on vinyl, aluminum and wood siding as well as on bathroom and fixtures.

Dry Time
At 72°F(22°C),50% R.H., YA4000 is tack free in 15 minutes and drieds at a rate of about 1/8” per day but can be painted after only 30 to 45 minutes with latexes,or oil-based paint.As the temperatures decrease,the dry time of YA40000 will increase.A good rule of thumb is one additional day for every 10°F decrease in temperature.
