Product Feature and Usage Range
HY502/HY20 is one of the Polyurethane adhesives for packing lamination. It is a bicomponent high performance adhesive, with strong adhesive, good transparency. The film has good performance., oil proof, shockproof, bending proof, low temperature proof and humidity proof, easy to use.
The product is applicable for all kinds of dry lamination machines with varied speeds, widely used in PET, BOPP, CPP, LDPE, HDPE, PT and aluminium foil, coated aluminium film, compound packing for all kinds of food and medicine. For plastic-plastic laminated product, it could resist the temperature of 121
o
C for 30 minutes for disinfection.

Use Instruction:
Ratio: the ratio of main agent to solidified agent is 5:1 for manufacturing soft lamination material. The ratio could be up for hard lamination material.

Dilution and the adhesive contents after dilution
To adjust the viscosity of the adhesive, please use the class one industrial acetic ester as dilution, with its moisture content less than 0.03%, and ethyl alcohol less than 0.02%. The formula for usage of acetic ester is as follows:

Qty of acetic ester =( qty of main agent X main agent content(%) + qty of solidified agent X solidified agent content (%))/adhesive content(%) – (qty of main agent – qty of solidifed agent)

The adhesive content is mostly between 20~30%. The user should decide on the adhesive percentage depending on the texture of the material which nees to be sealed, usage amount and the performance of the rubber roller.

Adhesive Spread
The adhesive shall be evenly coated on the surface. 2~3.5 g/m
2
is recommended for the dry backing, and 4g/m2 for aluminium coating

Pre-processing on material
The surface shall be free of dust, oil, clean and dry. Corona processing must be done on the surface of the film before use so that the tension on surface reaches 0.038N/m-0.042N/m (38dyn/cm-42dyn/cm)

Requirement for lamination
Working environment: dry, with relative humidity not higher than 80%

Curing condition
The laminated film cures at room temperature. The curing time is 24~48 hours with curing temperature at 50 plus 5 or minus 5 degree celcius.It will fully solidified with natural curing for 4~5 days at rooom temperature higher than 20
o
C. Please note that the working environment in winter is different. The laminated film could only be rewinded or used to make three layer laminated film after curing for one day, and cut in two or three days. The bag can only be made after full solidification. To make the transparent steaming bag, full curing in th curing room is a must. Curing temperature of (50+/-5)
o
C and curing timing above 48 hours are required. The curing timing and temperature for laminated aluminum foil shall be longer and higher.

Shelve life for adhesive mixture
The adhesive mixture shall be used up within 8 hours. The user shall match the adhesive based on the workload to avoid too much leftover and waste. For the leftover advisive mixture, it can not be used anymore in principle. With too much leftover, it could be thinned up with solvent and kept in cool and used as dilution to be mixed up with the new mixture the other day. If the mixture turns white, subtransparent or thickened obviously, then it could not be used any longer. After it is unpacked, it must be used up in short period. The solidified agent will easily go bad with humidity. It must be kept dry and kept sealed if not in use.

Transportation and storage
The product is flammable. It should be transported and stored as dangerous product.
It should be protected aginst fire, heat, explosion to sunshine, humidity and water. The package must be kept well in tranportation. The products must be lightly moved.

The storage must be kept away from the heat source and fire. It should be stored in the room temprature between 10 to 30 degree celsius and no sunshine. The storage place must be protected from fire, humidity, water. It needs to be dry, and well venilated. The adhesive can not be mixed with water, liquor or other liquid with active hydrogen.

The shell life for the adhesive is 10 months and 4 months for the solidified agent. It could still be used if it has not gone bad after expiry.
