The products like the ThreeBond 1400 series are synthetic-resin locking agents that prevent screws and bolts from loosening, leaking, or rusting. The force required to remove a screw to which 1400 has been applied is 10% to 20% greater than the force to tighten it. These products are standard materials, indispensable in the assembly of electronic and mechanical.

All anerobic thread lockers the likes of Loctites deteriate plastic and paint this dosn`t. This cures into a rubbery form preventing the
ingress of water and corrosion

Typical applications are screens, fairings, electrical screws, anti tampering (by putting on the screw head) boat fittings, archery bow screws ect.
