Features: undergo expansion by several times when immersed in cold water, and will be dissolved when heated to 35°C. Liable to mildew when exposed to damp air, with a viscosity bigger than that of bone gelatin.
Applications: mainly used as binding agent and water repellent for wooden utensils, matches, abrasive paper, Chinese ink, dyeing, carpet, fez etc. Also applicable to leather finishing
